This involved a lot of thought. Then I had a great idea, my baby is turning eighteen next Wednesday. The years have gone by so quickly; to me, one moment she was a sweet little baby and now she is a mature, intellegent young lady. So therefore ‘POOF’ has gone the time. I really wish that the time had not passed so quickly.

I know how you feel! My son will be 30 next month, but I still have my 13 year old to hold onto for a while longer! What a lovely image you’ve created. I’m sure she appreciates you and your talent!

She is beautiful — as a baby and as a grown up girl. Is she a dancer? I know I’m going to be terribly sad when my girls leave me, so I’m trying to treasure every moment.
Fabulous portrait, painting her is a great way of keeping these times.
You color combination is stunning. I love the feel of lightness you captured in that teal skirt, superb! Nice touch the squares in the background, it ties the whole image together…
Have a great week !
You have really captured a sense of love and tenderness with this portrait.
Reading your older post makes me think about my own mom and the sense of sadness and loss that I may experience when my own children leave me.
Your work is lovely.
Thanks for sharing!
This is such a beautiful and sensitive portrait. I just love your take on “poof”.
BEAUTIFUL colors, composition, and subject matter.
I always enjoy seeing what you come up with.

Wonderful… your illustration captured the sentiment beautifully. They’re growing up too fast!
What a sweet tribute to your daughter!
Sandra, you have captured this yearning so well. Where have the years gone?
Beautiful. Would I be right in guessing that is a dress for the formal?I bet you went over lots of fond memories while you completed this lovely piece.
Oh how I know what you mean! My baby turned one a few weeks ago, and already I am thinking that the time is passing so quickly! Love your drawing!
This is so beautiful!! I still think of her as the 5 year old she was when Adam and I started dating - she has grown up so quickly, but then I find it hard to beleive we have a 5 year old of our own now!!
