My kids think I am strange but I do not like the phone. I really dislike talking on it and it ringing. As soon as it starts ringing, I start counting the number of rings; I do not like the sense of urgency that it creates. Here is my drawing for this week.

I don’t like the phone much either. Mind you, I spent all my time on it as a teenager!

lol, i know your adversion to the phone. I think it has added in some part to my love of the phone as I always got to answer it as a kid
I love the drawing. I missed your drawing last week when you did not post one.
I cant wait to see the photos of the cafe, it is something special to add a little sense of community to a nice suburb!
love, penny
we all have to remember that the phone is for our convinience, not the caller’s. that is how i learned to let go of that sense of urgency, it used to get on my nerves, so i feel your pain. great illo!
I couldn’t agree more with you about telephones.
On top of everything you wrote, I have to add that call waiting is the most annoying feature that one could have invented. I find it plain rude, to have one person waiting while you tell the other you’r in the other line. What sense does it make?
Thanks for your visit.

Yes, yes, the phone is my pet peeves too! I hate when people talk and talk and rob my time!
A great entry, really nicely done and my husband would absolutely agree with this pet peeve (I guess my pet peeve is having to return all the calls he refuses to answer!) Thank you for your comments, I was planning to add a blanket to my washing line but ran out of room.
great pet peeve submission…so true…
great illustration!
Have a Happy Easter…
Cheers,
Diana
i completely agree! i constantly screen my calls…the door as well, after a certain time, i will not answer it…faboo and clever illo!!
a : )
I keep telling my husband, “Don’t bother - let the machine pick it up”. But he always bothers. Jeesh.
I hate the phone too! People have actually stopped calling me because I never answer it… lol
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Honor.
I dislike the phone too — always have. My mom also disliked the phone. Must run/ring in the family!

You don’t know how nice it is to hear someone else say that about the phone! I feel exactly the same way. Its bad enough with the home phone ringing but then you see everyone walking and driving and shopping and eating and everything else with their stupid cell phones attached to their heads and I just can’t figure it out!! lol Drives me nuts.
Smiles, Karen
