I am hoping that you are having a beautiful long weekend. On Saturday which was a Australia Day the kids talked us into going up to Moolmoolaba Beach which is just over an hour’s drive from home. I was reluctant to go as I had planned to work on some photos and to start knitting my tea cosy for the swap. We went and I am so very pleased that we did; it was a relaxing , peaceful time watching the activities on the beach, soaking in the scenery and watching the grandchildren play. The beach was really busy and we had set up our spot next to a group of young people who were there for the long haul. They had lounges, a tv set(so that they could watch the women’s tennis final) , plenty of refreshments and a shade tent. The only trouble is that they had too much beer and were slowly wiping themselves out and becoming argumentative with each other.
There seems to be a rise of nationalism, so many people were driving around with flags or were dressed in the flag. I didn’t know that you could buy so many clothes with the flag design on it; mainly the young generation wearing them. I am not sure whether this is a good thing (nationalism. I mean) or not. What do you think?
I will leave you with my photo for Australian Day, a game of beach cricket - a favored Australian past-time.

This is my first day back at work, I am so tired tonight. The school is a lot smaller than my other school and the staff seem OK, not like the other school where some had been there for thirty years and were very set in their ways. The library is beautiful but small, the collection is very crowded but seems to be large enough. I am looking forward to starting to plan and to develop units of work.

This is a photo I found from flicke of the inside of a school. Beautiful lighting. It is by Beta Karel who takes inspiring photos.
My photo for the day is of my worktable at home in its usual state.

I have been wanting to change my blog name for a while. I did not feel that it was correct to keep calling it ‘SandraBoddingtonDesigns’ when I do very little designing anymore. I had also been wanting to change my host, which the change of name allowed me to do.

Why Molly and Coffee? Our new puppy is called Molly (a black labrador) and I usually start my morning with a cup of coffee ( a latte) . This is the only coffee that I have all day and I love to have it while sitting at my computer checking e-mails and blogs. By this time Molly has already been for her walk and the poor baby is tired, so she is asleep at my feet. My favourite time of the day.
